We are deeply honoured to share that the Gran Consejo Tsimane’, the legitimate political organization representing the Tsimane’ people, has granted us authorization to carry out our research within the Tsimane’ Territory. We are especially grateful to the President of the Gran Consejo, Maguin Gutiérrez, for warmly receiving us and engaging in an insightful conversation about the priorities and concerns of the Tsimane’ people. We are committed to ensuring that our research aligns with these priorities and remains grounded in respect, reciprocity, and long-standing relations of trust. This authorization marks a meaningful step forward in our collaboration, one that builds upon many years of relational accountability, mutual learning, and shared commitment to respectful, community-engaged research. We view this trust not as a formality, but as a responsibility to honour the voices, values, and priorities of the Tsimane’ people throughout every stage of our research project.
