Starting a new field campaign!

March 6, 2026

Our team has officially begun a new field campaign in the Bolivian Amazon. After a couple of intense days in San Borja gathering supplies and preparing equipment, the team is now heading upriver and into the forest to begin the next phase of fieldwork. Over the coming weeks, the team will work hand in hand with our Tsimane’ partners: learning together, strengthening long-standing collaborations, and documenting the rich ecological knowledge that communities hold about their forests. These moments in the field are always special: opportunities to reconnect, share experiences, and continue building the trust and friendships that sustain this collaborative research. We wish the team a safe journey and a rewarding field season, and we look forward to sharing more updates from the forest in the weeks ahead!
