Last month we were honoured to be joined in the field by Joan de la Malla and Aner Etxebarria, who are both highly esteemed portrayers of nature conservation at its intersection with anthropology and local communities.
Joan specialises in photography and documented the work of our team during workshops and interviews, remote imaging surveys and walks in the woods, as well as our daily lives in the field. Aner is a documentary maker and is working on a short film in which the voices of the Tsimane’ people will take the foreground, focussing on what the changes in their world mean for them in practice.
