We are thrilled to welcome our new master’s student, Júlia, to our team! She has just arrived in San Borja, and together we’ve already had the chance to visit two Tsimane’ communities, i.e. Puerto Belén and Arenales, where we carried out ethno-biological transects and interviews. These days, we’re preparing the logistics for our next journey to Cuchisama, where we will continue working side by side.
Júlia’s research will explore Cultural Keystone Species (CKS) as bridges between traditional ecological knowledge and biodiversity conservation among the Tsimane’ people, and she will contribute in the data collection of the other team members.
Our team keeps growing, and so does our shared commitment to understanding the living environmental Tsimane’ knowledge.
